The secret content of our Little Black Book. The roles we provide on a regular basis. Please let us know if there is something you need that is not on this list. We always know someone, who knows someone.
Showcaller
A Showcaller is the director of your live or virtual event. They run everything for you from onsite rehearsals to the final round of applause. They bring your Event Producer’s hard work together and make it live.
Event Producer
An Event Producer will organise your event from start to finish. Plan, coordinate and pull everything together. Handing over to your Showcaller once onsite.
Stage Manager
A Stage Manager runs the stage. Presenters, furniture, artists and set changes. They work closely with your Showcaller and they are a vital link between the front of the house and the backstage area.
Content Producer
A Content Producer works closely with your Producer and your client bringing every aspect of content together and keeping a very close eye on version control. Some Content Producers are creative and will help to design the look and feel of what you need. Others are managing what you are already producing.
Graphics Designer
A Graphic Designer will work directly with your client pre-event to design and produce their presentations and potentially other media too. Once finished and ready to go, they are then onsite with you to run the presentations throughout your event.
Graphics Operator
A Graphic Operator, not necessarily as accomplished in design, is just with you onsite to run the presentations throughout your event.
Room Manager
A Room Manager, oversees your event space. They do not interfere with anything technical or show related. They liaise with your venue, keep breaks to time, handling last minute emergencies and any late arrivals.
Scriptwriter
A Scriptwriter understands the world of events and will work with you to produce the perfect script for your onstage delivery. They may write this script from scratch for you or work with you to perfect what you have already written.
Floor Manager
A Floor Manager is similar to a Stage Manager, but within a Virtual or Broadcast setting. Presenters, furniture, artists and set changes. They work closely with your Showcaller and they are a vital link between those in front of and those behind the camera.
Runner
A Runner is someone who does everything. They may fetch coffee, they may deliver a script to a presenter’s hotel room. They are a valuable extra pair of hands to fill gaps wherever you find you may have one.
Project Co-Ordinator
A Project Co-Ordinator works closely with your Producer. They help to organise and coordinate every aspect and also often work very closely with the crew to ensure they have everything they need in terms of travel and accommodation.
Project Manager
A Project Manager has more of a general overview of the event in its entirety. They will work alongside your team to ensure every detail of your event, including your budget is aligned and progressing as it should. Once onsite, they are in charge of everything as a whole.
Dresser
For events where you may have quick costume changes, a fashion show or a more theatrical performance, you would need a Dresser to help you.
Wardrobe HOD
Similar to the above, but someone in overall charge of both the Wardrobe department, including all costume or clothing and also the Dressers.
Artist Liaison
An event with performing artists would need someone to work closely with them. This person keeps the artist to time, fetches them when it is time to perform and generally makes sure they are OK and that they have everything they need backstage.
Prompt Operators
A Prompt Operator will run the ‘autocue’ that enables the presenters to read their scripts electronically. Listening intently to your presenter, they follow the speed that they speak and roll the script accordingly.
Event Assistant
An Event Assistant would be someone who may help to hand out badges as your delegates arrive. They can help to load the room and generally be on hand to pick up any extra task that may need to be done throughout your live event.
Production Manager
A Production Manager is in charge of all things technical and anything that needs to be built, like the set and the stage. They would work with your team beforehand to understand what type of event you need and want and therefore what set up would work. They would then design, order, deliver and run everything onsite for you.
VOG / Announcers
A VOG or Announcer is the person who will make any announcements needed. They help keep your audience to time during breaks and bring them back into the room. During awards events they can introduce, announce and give citations too.
Executive Producer
The buck stops with the Executive Producer. They are the person in overall charge of everyone and everything. They are the direct client link. They manage all top line budgets and delegate the tasks for the event to the wider event team.
Operations Manager
The Operations Manager is in overall charge of all of the logistics of your event. Transportation, Accommodation and F&B. Not only for your delegates but for your entire crew too.
