When the presenter’s adlib, as they are prone to do, a Prompt Operator will hold their nerve, knowing, when ready, the presenter will return to the script and be back on track.
If scripts change, the Prompt Operator edits on the fly, ensuring the updated version is ready the moment it’s needed.
