I’ve been onsite at The Belfry this week – in their shiny new Master’s Suite.
Fabulous space. Does the job.
BUT, according to my techy pals, a few of the design decisions were… let’s say slightly questionable.
And the parking? Get ready for a 10,000-step day whether you intended it or not. And is the in-house AV offering pricey? I’ve heard mixed reviews!
Then yesterday… I headed to The BECC in Birmingham City Centre. A venue that’s been there forever but somehow I’d never been in.
Sequins, sparkle, small awards show, very glam.
I bet you haven’t been anywhere near as glamorous as me this week…
Where else have we been?
Last week: 16 events in total, mostly London, plus Birmingham and Milan.
Next week: 17 events.
London, Birmingham and Milan again… plus, Dubai, New York and Brazil.
The roles flying out? Showcallers, Stage Managers, Graphics Ops, Graphics Designers, Production Assistants & AV Technicians.

What have you been up to?
The Fluffy Menace…
… has had quite the week too.
With me onsite, he’s been doing the doggy daycare circuit – friends, family, dog walkers – and apparently he’s behaved himself.
It transported me straight back to the Excel childcare roster era when my son was little… thankfully I only forgot to collect him once!
Asking for help doesn’t come naturally to me – but this week reminded me:
sometimes you don’t need to be a superhero.
You just need good humans around you – and to actually ask them for help.
A little reminder…
