Freelance event staff, just the person you need

Thirty years in events and a network built job by job. Freelance event staff for live, virtual and hybrid shows, booked as individuals. Not a team you didn’t ask for, not a package, just the right person for the role.

I know a lot of people. Showcallers in Manchester, floor managers who work in three languages, a prompt operator who once got to a venue in Milan with two hours’ notice. Most of the time I’ll find you the perfect unicorn, that rare person who has the skill and the experience and turns up with the right attitude as well. And on the odd occasion I can’t, I know who to ring.

Need your unicorn? Drop me a message and let’s sort it.

“Your showcaller was excellent, thank you. It was a complex hybrid event and she kept her cool, she’s always so personable onsite and super friendly to everyone :)”

Maverick Event Show Crew

The Little Black Book

These are the freelance event crew I book most weeks. Showcallers, floor managers, graphics operators, prompt operators. All of them in the Little Black Book, all of them people I have worked with, and you can book one of them or a full crew.

Your show, your rules

The freelancer I send you works to your producer, your running order, your way of doing things. They slot into your team rather than arriving with their own.

The UK events industry turns over around £60 billion a year and employs about 126,000 people, and almost none of the people delivering those events are permanent staff.

The freelance event crew running those shows, producers, showcallers, graphics operators, floor managers, mostly work for themselves. Which is why knowing who’s good, and who’s free, matters more than having a big database.

Conferences, exhibitions, awards nights, product launches, whatever it is, the show only works because a handful of people behind the scenes know exactly what they’re doing and stay calm while they do it.

That’s what I do. I know those people, I know which of them is any good, and I know who’s free in three weeks. Name the role, I’ll make the calls.

If you need someone to run your whole event, not just fill individual roles, a freelance event manager might be the better fit.
