Birmingham event crew, minus the hassle

Thirty years in events, with contacts across Birmingham and the wider Midlands. I can put together anything from a single specialist to a full crew, for live, virtual or hybrid shows. Because I already know Birmingham’s venues, I know about the load-in quirks and the parking headaches before anyone mentions them.

I’ve worked with hundreds of freelancers across the Midlands, from touring crew who know the NEC inside out to the small teams who run conferences at boutique venues in Digbeth and the Jewellery Quarter. A stage manager who’s held together back-to-back shows at the ICC, a graphics operator who can turn around last-minute slide changes without breaking a sweat, a room manager who’s run breakout sessions for 300 delegates without a single hitch. If they’re not free, I’ll know exactly who is.

Got a Birmingham show coming up? Tell me what you need and I’ll get it moving.

“We always call Jill when we need anyone for an event, it’s so convenient. She knows everyone, she always finds us exactly the right people and we have always been delighted with everyone she sends our way. It’s a great service. Everyone needs Maverick Event Show Crew in their life.”

Give me the date, I’ll find your Birmingham crew.

Chasing down the right crew for a Birmingham show is a job in itself, one you don’t have hours to spare for. Hand that bit to me instead.

Maverick Event Show Crew

The Little Black Book

The Little Black Book covers everyone from showcallers to floor managers, content producers to graphics operators, all of them people who’ve worked Midlands venues before and know what that involves. Tell me the role and I’ll tell you who’s free.

Your show, your call

No one turns up expecting you to explain how your team works. They follow your call sheet, take direction from your producer, and get on with it.

Birmingham has a busy events calendar all year round, from NEC expos to city-centre conferences. Getting the right freelance crew for any of it means knowing who’s good, who’s free, and who already knows the venues.

Behind those shows are stage managers, room managers, showcallers and content producers, most of them freelance and most of them juggling more than one booking a month. In a city with a calendar this packed, it’s not about finding people who exist, it’s about finding people who are actually free on your date, including emergency event cover.

Trade shows, corporate conferences, product launches, awards dinners, whatever’s on at the NEC or ICC that week, Birmingham’s venues depend on a small pool of specialists who know exactly what they’re doing under pressure.

I know who’s worth booking and who’s actually free right now. Give me the brief and I’ll get things moving.
