Seriously… how are we nearly done with 2025?
There’s been a bit of calm this week, and a bit of reflection. But the next few weeks, we are back to full throttle.
I’ve had time to breathe, catch up, and tick off a few of those admin jobs that have been glaring at me for the past 6 weeks.
But it’s kicking off again…
Dougal the Delinquent…
So, my beloved fluffy housemate has reached that stage.
The other night, while I was minding my own business, I turned around to see him, leg cocked, AT THE SOFA.
Not the carpet, not the floor… the back of the sofa.
Cue a moment of disbelief, followed by a very firm “NO” (and a slight scream).
Apparently, we’ve hit adolescence.
And yes, I’m now the proud owner of a sofa that smells faintly of Dettol and disappointment.
Training continues.

Reflection.
The quieter weeks can sometimes make you doubt yourself.
Imposter syndrome is never a freelancer’s friend. Especially when it’s quiet.
But actually, ignore that damn imposter. This is your chance to reset. To breathe. To clean the desk (maybe). To plan. To remember why you do what you do. And to remind yourself what you love about the industry.
Because all too soon, you’ll be knee-deep in load-ins, tech rehearsals, and call sheets… you’ll wish you’d enjoyed that window of calm.
So this is your reminder: take the quiet when it comes.
It doesn’t last long in this industry.
Content Producer.
Before the truck unloads and the show starts, someone’s been quietly shaping every slide, script, and bit of show content behind the scenes. The Content Producer.
They’re the bridge between creative and technical. Juggling presenters, last-minute deck changes, videos and version control.
They make sure your event looks and sounds right long before you even hit rehearsals.
And when they’re good? You barely notice… because everything just works.
Big high fives coming your way!
As the next busy spell kicks off…
